Lessons From This 'Golden Age' of Learning Science
Experts have described this as a "golden age" of discovery in the area of learning science, with new insights regularly emerging on how humans learn. But what can educators, policymakers, and lifelong learners gain from these new insights? To answer this question, EdSurge gathered a panel of experts at the intersection of brain research and teaching practice. As a result, the question arises: how can Edtech companies keep up with these developments and implement the latest research in their products?
More Than Half Of College Students Believe Using ChatGPT To Complete Assignments Is Cheating
The debate over the ethics of Generative AI continues. According to a recent survey, over half of college students (51%) believe that using artificial intelligence (AI) tools like ChatGPT to complete assignments and exams is cheating. Two in ten (20%) disagreed, and the remaining students were neutral. You can read more about this survey in the Forbes article linked above. Rather than banning Generative AI tools, colleges (and schools) should debate and clarify questions like: when does the use of these tools constitute plagiarism? And how can we teach students to use these tools responsibly?

So, there are probably more opportunities for teachers to move away from classroom instruction than one might have expected.
